Activating Spam Filter on MDaemon Mail Server 9

MDaemon mail server support filtering spam process to block spam mail from internet. You can configure to enable or disable this setting.

To enable or disable spam filter process in MDaemon mail server follow these steps:
  1. Open MDaemon window application
  2. On the left side of MDaemon desktop application expand the sub tree servers.
  3. In the sub tree AntiSpam you can see status of AntiSpam; inactive or active
  4. Right click on sub tree AntiSpam and choose Toggle active/inactive to switch MDaemon spam filter enable and disable.

For the additional setup of Spam Filter you can go to Security > Spam Filter menu.
In the Spam Filter window you can setup processing to spam mail weather you would like to delete, bounce the message to the sender, put the message in the spam trap public folder or flag it but let it continue down delivery.

If you enable spam filter you can still make exclusion for some email address or part of email address or domain name. To do this you can go to Exclusion List and type the address you want to exclude by spam filtering process. Click Apply button to save and activate the changes you made.
